I’m opening an art cafe in Ramallah!

Hey Everyone!

My name is Zkrah, and I’m a 24-year-old Palestinian American. In June 2024, I made the life-changing decision to leave America behind and return to my roots in Palestine. Since then, I’ve been passionately working towards a dream that brings me closer to my community and its vibrant culture.

I am excited to share that I plan to open a café in Ramallah, Palestine—a place that will serve as a safe haven for creativity and self-expression. This café will not just be about coffee; it will be a gathering space where art flourishes.

Customers will have the opportunity to purchase unique art supplies, handcrafted ceramics, and stunning paintings—all made by talented local Palestinian artisans. Additionally, we will host weekly workshops led by local artists, offering community members a chance to explore their creativity. There will also be music sessions that aim to bring people together through the universal language of art.

Estimated Cafe Costs: 

- $20,000 upfront rent payment

- $20,000 essential equipment (espresso machine, grinder, juicer, blenders, fridges, freezers, counters, and more)

- $10,000 renovations and decor

- $5,000 furniture 

- $3,000-$5,000 monthly employee wages

- $1,000-$3,000 utilities (electricity, water, Wi-Fi, taxes, etc.)

- $5,000 inventory (syrups, powders, art supplies, etc.) 

- $1,000-$3,000 art workshops and live music arrangements.
