</div>
<div>Substack is a platform that allows writers to create and distribute newsletters. While offering tools for writers to build a subscriber base, publish content (including text, audio, and video), and earn money through subscriptions.

</div>
<div>I am a Seattle-based writer, solo-performer, humorist, storyteller, and recipient of a distinguished Artist Trust Washington State Arts Commission Performing Arts Fellowship.
</div>

</div>
<div>My 2007 Chapbook,<em> Born One Thousand Years Too Early: Fat, Dark-Skinned, Gay and Adopted by White Folks: A Fragmentary Journey Towards Alignment </em>was described as poignant, chilling and prophetic.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Over the past 20 years I have created four autobiographical solo shows: <em>Sitting in Circles with Rich White Girls: Memoirs of a Bulimic Black Boy. </em>Which was funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts. <em>Riding in Cars with Black People &amp; Other Newly Dangerous Acts: A Memoir in Vanishing Whiteness.</em> Which was featured on NPR. <em>Marching in Gucci: Memoirs of a Well-Dressed Black AIDS Activist </em>and <em>How I Met My Dead Birth Mother. </em>

<div>I have dedicated 18 years to educating and being educated by thousands of people involved with eating disorders. This includes hundreds of student affairs and mental health professionals.
</div>

</div>
<div>Thousands of transracial families and hundreds of adoption agencies have benefited from my scholarship on child and adolescent identity development of transracially adopted children.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My work on the social, political and historical dimensions of multi-identity construction and intersectionality resulted in teaching fellowships from both Radford and Ohio University.
