<div>Namaste! My name is Purusottam Duwadi. I have created this GoFundMe campaign on behalf of my <strong>cousin brother</strong>, <strong>Bibek Simkhada</strong>, who is just 18 years old and bravely fighting <strong>Stage 2 Acute Leukemia (Bone Marrow Cancer).</strong> Bibek has started his treatment at T.U. Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal, and our family is doing everything we can to support him. However, the financial burden is overwhelming, which is why I am reaching out to the global community for help.

<div>At just 18 years old, I find myself in the fight of my life against <strong>Stage 2 Acute Leukemia (Blood cancer)</strong>. The reality of this diagnosis hit me like a storm, right after I finished high school. Life was supposed to be about new beginnings and chasing dreams, but instead, I am facing this terrifying battle.

<div>My story is one of resilience, but also of hardship. My father, at the age of 50, went to a Gulf country to work, hoping to secure a better future for our family. Despite his hard work, our financial struggles persisted. Unlike many of my friends, I couldn’t afford to go on fun trips or enjoy the carefree life that comes with youth. I began paying my own expenses by teaching tuition to younger students, trying to lighten the burden on my parents.

<div>A year ago, I started feeling pain in my legs and joints. We thought it was just rheumatism and began treatment. But two months ago, things took a turn for the worse. I ended up in the ICU for four days. My family and I made preparations to go to India for further treatment, but the situation was too critical. I was admitted to Kathmandu Teaching Hospital instead.

<div>It was there that our worst fears were confirmed: the pain wasn’t rheumatism; it was leukemia. In that moment, our world collapsed. The future we had imagined, the dreams I had cherished—all seemed to slip away in the blink of an eye.

<div>The doctors told us that the treatment would cost 70 lakhs NPR. For a family like ours, where even 10 lakhs feels like a fortune, 70 lakhs is an unimaginable amount. My parents, who have sacrificed so much already, are doing everything they can to support me, but we can’t do it alone anymore.

<div>This is why I am reaching out to you. I believe in the goodness of people and the power of community. I believe that even a small act of kindness can save a life. I want to live. I want to fight with everything I have. I want a chance to chase the dreams that have been taken away from me.
