Help Me As I Build An Independent Life

My name is David Dunphy, and I'm asking for any assistance you can offer, even if it's just sharing this little fundraiser. I know times are difficult, but any little bit of support helps.

I was just informed that I've been hired to work for the IRS as a contact collections rep starting in September 13, which will require me to go to Denver Colorado to be trained, to work, etc. I am super excited to finally be having gainful employment and independence, which will allow me to have more control of my finances and the decisions I make about my own life! Independence and freedom are goals I've always had, and this job will be big steps towards reaching those goals.

The start of a journey like this though is never easy as I'm sure anyone who has started a chapter like this knows. Settling in a new place until a first paycheck comes in can be expensive. Food and grocery costs alone can be pretty high, not to mention transportation costs since I'm unable to drive until I can get a bus pass and learn the routes I'll need to get to work.

I'm asking for any help anyone can give as I start my journey and work towards getting on my feet in a new environment. This will make it easier for me to get groceries and other necessities until I begin getting paid. All funds raised will go towards items needed to live until I receive my first paycheck. Even if you can't or are unwilling to help, at least a share would be most appreciated, and this will make my road towards independence a little easier.
