Help me apply for my Dual Nationality
Hello and thank you for coming onto this page.
My name is Valentin Adkins but despite how my name sounds like I am not British (yet!).
I have been studying, working and living in the UK, mostly in London and in Kent, for the last 5 years.
Indeed, I first moved to the United Kingdom for a year in order to finish my international law studies at the University of Kent. Only it didn't take me long to realise that I had found a place where I felt truly comfortable and accepted.
After my first year in Kent and a degree in my pocket, I decided to challenge myself and pursue my teenage dream - to have a career in fashion.
Because I could not get into any universities due to the situation of my finances, I worked hard to get my first ever job at Hermès as a luxury sales advisor. The first step was completed, but then I had to find my way to get behind the closed doors of fashion production, where I ultimately wanted to land a career.
It was only after many unpaid internships as Studio Assistant, that in early 2020 I achieved to get a job as Junior Fashion Designer for a London based ready-to-wear brand.
Two months after, I had to be furloughed and still am at the present (October 2020). Thus I have not been able to save as much for the Dual Nationality (French/British) application, which will help me continue my career here in the UK but also will give me the freedom of pursuing career opportunities worldwide.
I will be able to keep one foot here in my country of adoption in such a manner it will be possible for me to rise as a British citizen while I go after my dreams wherever they lead me.
These funds will be used to apply for my Dual Nationality. They are necessary to finalise my application.
I am extremely grateful for all of you who are considering helping me in this last crusade. I promise to be an exemplary British national and to always keep English values at the highest my heart and in everything I accomplish.
