<div>I am a husband to Rachael, a father to Isabella and Massimo, and I am fighting recurrent glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer.

<div>After brain surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, I was fortunate enough to reach remission.
</div>

<div>Believing we had been given a second chance, my wife and I took our children out of school, rented out our family home, and set off to show them the world — different cultures, traditions and experiences that we hoped would help shape them into compassionate, open-hearted human beings.

<div>Four days into that journey, I suffered the first of many seizures.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The tumour had returned.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, the recurrence is located in the motor cortex of my brain, making further surgery extremely risky and additional radiotherapy impossible at this stage.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, I have been accepted for personalised dendritic cell immunotherapy at LDG Laboratories in Germany, an innovative treatment designed to help my immune system recognise and fight the cancer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My doctors believe I am an excellent candidate because I remain physically active, independent, neurologically strong, and able to mount a powerful immune response.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The challenge is that this treatment costs approximately €45,000 and is not covered by insurance or public healthcare.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am not asking for a miracle.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am asking for a chance.

<div>When I was first diagnosed, two surgeons refused to operate because of the complexity and risks involved. I was told that I might have as little as six months to live.
</div>

</div>
<div>But something inside me refused to believe my story was over.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Eventually, we found a surgeon willing to take on the challenge, giving me the precious gift of time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The months that followed were filled with recovery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, but they also transformed me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I learned to appreciate the things that truly matter: a sunrise, a walk in the mountains, time in nature, meaningful conversations, and simply being present with the people I love.
</div>

</div>
<div>Seeking healing beyond the physical, I travelled alone to Bali, where I spent time reconnecting with myself through reflection, meditation, spirituality and nature. It was there that I began to trust my intuition, embrace life as it is, and discover a deeper sense of purpose.

<div>When the tumour returned, it would have been easy to surrender to fear.
</div>

</div>
<div>Instead, I chose acceptance.
</div>

<div>I chose gratitude.

<div>Cuatro días después de comenzar ese viaje, sufrí la primera de muchas convulsiones.

<div>El tumor había regresado.
</div>
<div>Hoy, la recurrencia se encuentra en la corteza motora de mi cerebro, lo que hace que una nueva cirugía sea extremadamente arriesgada y que más radioterapia sea imposible en esta etapa.

<div>Sin embargo, he sido aceptado para recibir inmunoterapia personalizada con células dendríticas en LDG Laboratories en Alemania, un tratamiento innovador diseñado para ayudar a mi sistema inmunológico a reconocer y combatir el cáncer.

<div>Mis médicos creen que soy un candidato excelente porque me mantengo físicamente activo, independiente, neurológicamente fuerte y con capacidad para generar una potente respuesta inmunitaria.

<div>Pero algo dentro de mí se negó a creer que mi historia había terminado.

Fue allí donde empecé a confiar en mi intuición, a aceptar la vida tal y como es y a descubrir un sentido más profundo de propósito.
