<div>If you’ve ever visited our ranch, there’s a good chance you’ve met Maxie. She has spent years faithfully calling our barn home, greeting visitors, keeping the rodents away, and quietly reminding us that even the smallest lives leave the biggest footprints on our hearts.
</div>
<div>Recently, Maxie was diagnosed with what is very likely squamous cell carcinoma on her nose. The lesion has slowly progressed over the past several months, and she now needs veterinary care to determine the best path forward.
</div>
<div>Because Maxie has always been a barn cat, handling and treatment can be challenging. We are committed to doing what is kindest for her—whether that means pursuing treatment if it is realistic and will give her a good quality of life, or providing compassionate end-of-life care if that is the most humane choice.
</div>
<div>We are asking for help with the costs of her veterinary visits, diagnostics, possible treatment, pain management, and, if necessary, a peaceful goodbye.
</div>
