Perhaps you know of my dedication to playing basketball. I have played recreationally and competitively for a long time, and I want to continue with basketball in college. Getting to that level requires hard work and commitment from me. It takes participating actively on a good team and engaging strong opponents in games. It also requires me to work out and practice daily. (And of course, I have to keep up with my studies, job, and chores, as well.) Like any high-level activity, this costs a lot of money.

I am fundraising for upcoming basketball activities. While I pay for some of the expenses with earnings from my job as a lifeguard, I also need outside financial support.

My upcoming basketball expenses relate to wrapping up the fall/winter season and starting the spring/summer season. In March, my team is traveling to Missouri for our league’s national tournament. I will be gone for 8 days. My estimated expenses for that trip are $2500-3000. Soon after that, I will begin my spring/summer season with a national-level AAU team. The estimated costs for just registration (practices, uniform, and games) is $1600. In addition to that fee, players pay for any related travel expenses for in-state and out-of-state games, which will be costly for me.
