<div>We’re reaching out on behalf of three year old <strong>Maty, the daughter of our friend Michael</strong>. Maty lives in Senegal with Michael’s family. She was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and the family has been told that she will need heart surgery to survive and lead a normal life.

<div>A few months ago, Maty began to tire easily. She had shortness of breath, trouble sleeping, and was no longer acting like herself. Now, a short while later, Maty is constantly tired and does not move around much at all.

<div>Maty lives in a poor, rural village in Senegal with no access to health care. Her family must travel three hours each way for each physician consultation. Maty receives care at Hospital Abdou Aziz Sy Dabakh, Tavaouan, Senegal. The surgery will also be done there.
