Help Matthew Cover Surgery Costs
Donation protected
Matthew Jordan is a queer, BIPOC immunocompromised angel who needs the support of his community to help cover medical costs for cancer-preventative surgery on July 6.
Some background information:
After several months of a painful, unidentifiable rectum growth, Matthew scheduled a doctor’s appointment, and learned that HPV was the cause of the growth. HPV-16 is the strain most frequently linked to anal cancer — because of this, he needs immediate surgery. Matthew has been HIV+ since 2021, and his immunocompromised status greatly increases his risk of contracting anal cancer. While he receives some healthcare benefits due to his positive status, insurance does not cover the surgery.
How you can help:
Matthew’s surgery is scheduled for July 6 — just five days from now. Rectum surgery requires 7+ days of bedrest and minimal activity, which means that he will be unable to work his serving job for at least that amount of time. Matthew is hoping for $3500 to cover the cost of surgery, rent, and living costs during this time. Anything that you contribute will not only give great karma, but the lifelong joy of helping a gay man bottom again ;)
