 Matthew McDonagh aged 57 lost his Job at Hovis Belfast due to standing up for what he believed was right, he recorded two Muslims who work within the factory praying in the locker room obstructing his way and access to his locker. He was recording for his safety and proof that the incident occurred during his shift Aswell as many other incidents that has happened on site. Matthews’s contract has now been terminated with company and seeks for your help.

 <strong>What Happened</strong>

 On February the 19th 2026 Matthew was met with two individuals who were using the changing room as a prayer room obstructing his access , as you have probably seen circulating online Matthew had recorded the incident for his safety and proof that the two individuals had been using this room ( as well as many other spaces that are not fit for prayer on site ) as there has been many incidents on site in relation to similar people with the same beliefs that he feels that have not been dealt with appropriately by the company.

 during this interaction Matthew believes that he was pleasant and did not use any foul language intended to intimidate or threaten the two colleagues. Because of his actions Hovis have terminated Matthew’s contract on the 27th of May in which he feels was not the appropriate outcome for the situation.

 Matthew had worked for Hovis for over 20 years and has had no previous disciplinary history and feels that the company’s outcome for his actions is harsh giving his long service and clean record.

 <strong>Current Situation</strong>
</div>
<div>
 Giving this outcome Matthew is now trying to raise the funds to take legal action against Hovis ltd which is now known as Hovis Bakeries following their £75 million acquisition with Associated British Foods (ABF) the parent company of Kingsmill.

 Matthew has since received a settlement agreement from Hovis Bakeries with a sum of money stating that he does not make any attempt to make a public statement or tarnish the companies name in any shape or form.
</div>

 Matthew has respectfully denied their attempt to silence him on the matter and seeks further Legal advice.
