<div>Our beloved Altadena community, known for its historic craftsman homes and its tight-knit creative spirit, was struck by a devastating fire yesterday that swept through our neighborhood.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Among those who lost everything is Mark V., a master craftsman who has spent the last 38 years turning houses into homes across Los Angeles.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The cruel irony isn't lost on us - a man who has dedicated his life to creating sanctuaries for others has lost his own. For nearly four decades, Mark has been the go-to artisan for transforming living spaces, bringing expertise in everything from fine carpentry and welding to plumbing and tile work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, he needs our help to restart his own story.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The fire claimed not just Mark's home, but also the essential tools of his trade - everything from precision carpentry equipment to specialized tile saws, plumbing tools, and electrical gear. These aren't just tools; they're the instruments of his livelihood, accumulated over a lifetime of dedication to his craft.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I met Mark through Los Angeles's storytelling community, where his voice brings characters to life at table reads. Beyond his work as a craftsman, he's an artist whose creative spirit has enriched our local arts scene. This dual identity as both builder and artist makes him a perfect embodiment of Altadena's unique character - where creativity meets craftsmanship in the shadow of the mountains.

</div>
<div>We're seeking support to cover unexpected costs and to get Mark back on his feet. These funds will assist with needs that might not be fully covered by other sources of aid. Your help will allow us to address the many aspects of recovery and support Mark through this crisis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All donations are greatly appreciated, no matter the size.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In Altadena, we take care of our own. Let's come together to help someone who has spent his life making others' homes more beautiful restructure his own path forward.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any amount helps. If you can't donate, please share this campaign with others who might be able to help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mark is deeply grateful for all expressions of support from our community during this challenging time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for helping us support a vital member of our creative and craftsman community.
