<div>Hi, my name is Abeer and I am writing this on behalf of Maryam, my domestic helper who has the biggest heart and truly is the most selfless soul I have ever met. Many know her from Instagram, where over 20,000 followers enjoy her warm personality and her food videos. Despite her cheerful presence online, life behind the scenes hasn’t been easy. For years, she has given away everything she earned, been taken advantage of and always put others first. Yet instead of receiving support, she has often been left with little to call her own. Her family who adopted her when she was 5 years old made her do house chores for years, didn't take care of her in the meanwhile, and took advantage of her and her money. Most of her money she has earned had been given to her family or they claimed they were “borrowing” her money and will lend it back. Her mistakes were met with punishment instead of guidance and now she deals with trauma from years of abuse, mentally and physically. They had taken everything from her including her freedom, money and even her confidence(they would make fun of her appearance and skin colour). Now, after falling out with them and escaping the abuse, she has no home to call her own. I know it helps to show pictures/proof of the situation on GoFundMe so people know what cause they're helping but I am not capable of doing so as Maryam simply has no home to upload pictures of- She currently stays with my family in Hong Kong, but besides that, she has no one to go to and still has medical bills to pay...

<div>Today, she dreams of something simple yet powerful: a home she can finally call her own. A place where she can rest, recharge, and build a life that belongs to her.

<div>She has little to no savings left as she still pays her husbands monthly medical bills while he is fighting a terminal illness, yet she has endless kindness and still shows up every day with positivity. This campaign is about giving back to someone who has given so much of herself to others.

</div>
<div>Every contribution, no matter how small, brings her closer to that dream. Even one dollar makes a difference.

<div>If you’ve ever smiled watching her videos, felt inspired by her cooking, or simply believe in helping someone who truly deserves peace and independence, please consider supporting her journey. Together, we can help her build the safe space she has always longed for — a place where she can finally rest, free from the weight of others’ demands.
