Help Mary with lodging, meals, and van repairs!

Today Marvin's Tow was called to tow a van off private property for Gardner PD. The van is being lived in by an elderly lady with all of her earthly belongings. The van’s alternator is not charging the battery, the battery has been discharged so long it will no longer hold a charge and the driver's side window is inoperable and stuck in the down position. We are required by law to obtain proof of ownership before the van can be released back to her, so she is not able to have the van back tonight.

After looking in the van all day for her paperwork, she mentioned she was going to sleep outside of the gas station for the night and continue searching tomorrow. We have put her in a room in Gardner for the night as we try to help her get the proper paperwork for her to have the van back. As we checked her into the hotel, she thanked us and told us how long it had been since she slept in a bed. We reached out to Dawn and Wally of Blazers and asked if we could pay them to deliver a meal to her at the hotel. They graciously offered to do so at no charge. So thank you to them for helping out!
