I have been trying to pay off the credit card debt, but it's slow going. I haven't charged anything in over 3 months so as not to add to the debt.

<div>My name is Mary, and I am reaching out for help after being scammed out of my life’s savings—over $400,000—and put into $30,000 of credit card debt. My IRA and savings are completely gone, leaving me with no emergency funds. Now, I am living solely on Social Security and a small annuity payment, which covers my monthly bills, but I am unable to pay the credit card debt and may face a huge income tax bill at the end of the year. <div>This is an update on how things are going. The interviews below have been working to warn people. One lady didn't click on a popup from her financial institution because she remembered the interview. A friend avoided a scam when someone called her and told her her credit card was being used in a different state and wanted her to go on her computer to check. When she told him she had a friend who was scammed out of a lot of money and she thought this was a scam, he said no it wasn't and she insisted that she would just call her credit card company with the number on the back of her card. The scammer hung up. So Please, please forward this to everyone you know so we can warn more people so they can avoid this nightmare of a scam. These criminals are professional, sophisticated and complicated. Someone actually lost $3Million. Also, more people are coming forward to share their storie of how they've been scammed. Don't let it happen to you.
