Marty Boyer got an intitial diagnosis of rectal cancer in March of 2016. Soon after, he was told it was stage 4 because Drs. found a spot on his lungs and liver. Marty then had chemo followed by surgery to remove the rectal tumor. Subsequent rounds of chemo followed. Another tumor was discovered in the hip area and he had radiation to shrink that tumor. Marty was then put on a stronger regiment of chemo. He had to discontinue that round of chemo because it was too strong. Marty continued to work during all of these treatments. Drs. now have him on an oral dosage of chemo. They also recommend that he stop working to help his body regain strength. Marty could possibly be on short term diasability which could be up to a year. He now has a referral to Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philly for a second opinion. At this time the Boyer family needs all of your prayers and all the love and support you can give. Thank you
