I am seeking financial assistance to retain legal counsel for a civil rights case involving my son, Jeremiah, and myself. This case arises from actions by Battle Creek police officers that we believe violated our constitutional rights. Because the matter involves serious questions regarding the protection of rights guaranteed under the United States Constitution, experienced legal representation is essential.

As a single mother living on a limited budget, I do not have the financial resources necessary to retain an attorney capable of handling a complex civil rights case against government officials. Cases involving constitutional violations require extensive legal knowledge, investigation, evidence gathering, court filings, and advocacy that are difficult to manage without professional representation. The outcome of this case is important not only for our family but also for ensuring accountability and the protection of constitutional rights. My son and I deserve the opportunity to have our claims fairly heard and properly presented in court. Without legal assistance, we face a significant disadvantage in pursuing justice and protecting our legal interests.

Financial support would be used directly to secure legal representation, cover litigation-related expenses, and ensure that both Jeremiah and I have meaningful access to the legal system. These funds would help us pursue our case effectively and seek a fair resolution regarding the violations of our constitutional rights. I respectfully request consideration for assistance so that I may obtain the legal representation necessary to advocate for my son and myself and ensure that our rights are fully protected throughout this process.
