<div>Marta has been fighting <strong>multiple sclerosis for 22 years.</strong>
</div>
<div>It is an unpredictable and progressive disease that takes more strength from her each year. Today, walking, keeping her balance, managing tremors, and dealing with double vision have become part of her everyday life.

</div>
<div>Recently, she experienced another very painful setback. While getting into bed, Marta <strong>broke her leg</strong>. After surgery, <strong>four screws, thirty stitches</strong>, and a long hospital stay, she is finally back home—supported by her loving husband, who does not leave her side. He is with her <strong>24/7, </strong>helping with rehabilitation, lifting her, and supporting her physically and emotionally as much as he can. He is not young anymore, and his <strong>back is reaching its limit</strong>. We need to take care of him as well.

<div>Coming home, despite all the challenges, has greatly improved Marta’s emotional well-being. Surrounded by love, she feels safer. Sadly, their home is <strong>not adapted to Marta’s current health needs</strong>, mainly due to financial limitations. The ongoing costs of treatment, rehabilitation, and daily care made it impossible to prepare the home for her condition earlier.

<div>The steep staircase means that since returning from the hospital, <strong>Marta has been confined to the upper floor,</strong> unable to go downstairs on her own. Her rehabilitation is now done entirely by her husband, with incredible heart and dedication, but using only the simplest tools—belts and improvised home solutions—<strong>without any professional equipment</strong> that could help both of them and protect his back.

This is not a temporary fix—it is a piece of equipment that will <strong>serve her for years</strong>, giving her a bit more independence and giving her husband much-needed physical relief.

<div>Marta <strong>od 22 lat walczy ze stwardnieniem rozsianym</strong>.
</div>
<div> To choroba nieprzewidywalna i postępująca, która z roku na rok odbiera coraz więcej sił. Dziś coraz trudniej jej chodzić, utrzymać równowagę, zmaga się z drżeniem głowy i podwójnym widzeniem – to jej codzienność. 
</div>
<div>Niedawno doszło kolejne, bardzo bolesne doświadczenie. Wchodząc do łóżka Marta<strong> złamała nogę.</strong> Operacja, <strong>4 śruby i 30 szwów</strong>, długi pobyt w szpitalu… 
</div>
<div>Od kilku dni jest już w domu – przy <strong>kochającym mężu</strong>, który nie odstępuje jej na krok. Jest z nią <strong>24/7, </strong>pomaga w rehabilitacji, dźwiga ją, wspiera fizycznie i psychicznie, jak tylko potrafi. 
</div>
<div>Sam nie jest już młody, a jego <strong>plecy są na granicy wytrzymałości.</strong> 
</div>
<div>O niego też musimy dziś zadbać. 
</div>

<div>Powrót do domu, mimo ogromnych trudności, bardzo poprawił <strong>psychikę Marty</strong>. Otoczona miłością, czuje się bezpieczniej. 
</div>
<div>Niestety ich dom <strong>nie jest przystosowany do obecnego stanu zdrowia Marty</strong> – głównie z powodów finansowych. 
</div>
<div>Koszty leczenia, rehabilitacji i codziennego funkcjonowania sprawiły, że nie było możliwości wcześniejszego dostosowania domu do jej potrzeb. 
</div>
<div>Strome schody powodują, że od momentu powrotu ze szpitala <strong>Marta przebywa wyłącznie na górze</strong> i nie ma możliwości samodzielnie zjechać na dół. 
</div>
<div>Rehabilitacja, którą dziś przechodzi, wykonywana jest <strong>przez jej męża</strong>, z ogromnym sercem i zaangażowaniem, ale przy użyciu <strong>najprostszych rzeczy</strong>, takich jak paski czy domowe rozwiązania –<strong> bez profesjonalnego sprzętu</strong>, który mógłby realnie odciążyć zarówno Martę, jak i jego samego. 
</div>

<div>Dlatego zbieramy środki na <strong>krzesełko schodowe,</strong> które umożliwi Marcie bezpieczne poruszanie się po domu. To nie jest rozwiązanie na chwilę – to sprzęt, który <strong>posłuży jej przez lata,</strong> da jej odrobinę samodzielności, a jej mężowi ulgę dla zmęczonych pleców. 
</div>
<div>Chicago zna Martę. Zawsze była osobą <strong>pełną empatii</strong>, chętnie pomagała innym, <strong>otwarcie mówiła o swojej chorobie, </strong>by uświadamiać i wspierać tych, którzy dopiero mierzą się z diagnozą. 
</div>
<div>Dziś to ona potrzebuje naszej pomocy.
