Continual Cancer Treatment and life Insurance for Marquitia Trusty 

I’m writing today with a heavy but hopeful heart. As many of you know, our Christian sister 

Marquitia Trusty was diagnosed with colon cancer last month. Marquitia is an incredible fighter and is now preparing for her cancer treatment, however at this time she is not sure where this journey is leading her because the insurance company is refusing to pay for testing and or further treatment. The insurance companies believe she does not need any more treatment at this time because her surgery was successful and all the cancer was removed. However, no one can be 100% sure only our savior Jesus Christ has that ability. 

Her doctor feels like these tests will be an ongoing treatment process to ensure that the cancer is contained with no recurrence of this deadly disease. Marquitia feels broken but not defeated and is grateful that her faith and the community is by her side to support her through this difficult time in her life. With insurance, medical bills are rapidly increasing, and we are now facing significant financial challenges for her extensive medical treatment. We are projecting that her treatment and recovery period will cost approximately 25,000.00. We’ve started a GoFundMe to help ease this stress so that Marquitia can focus on her health and healing. We are reaching out for help from our family, friends, and whomever is able to help with some of her payments for testing and other payments in order to keep her informed of any cancer that might spread or reoccur. 

We believe that this journey is only to help others to know and believe how difficult things can be without good health insurance. Nobody wants to be blinded when it comes to their health. 

There are many stages and levels to cancer, and a treatment plan is developed by a team to ensure the patient has a clear understanding of their condition. When she was informed that her appointment was cancelled because the insurance company denied it, it was devastating to her and her family. With a heavy heart I’m asking for a contribution of any amount, no matter the size, that would mean the world to our family. All donations will go directly toward medical treatments, medication, and post-treatment care.
