On Thursday morning, Marlo was playing fetch with one of his favorite balls when the ball became lodged in his throat and obstructed his airway. Marlo was unable to breath for several minutes and great lengths were taken to get him to a vet very quickly to have the ball removed. Marlo died two different times in the process and he fought to come back both times.
Just two days ago he was a happy, wonderful dog who had just celebrated his first birthday last week. Currently, he is on a ventilator and Michigan State University in intensive care. He is receiving excellent care, but it is expensive. He is fighting very hard to stay with us, but he needs more time. He needs more time to heal so that he can make it back to his family that loves and misses him very much. Unfortunately, time is money and the bills are piling up.
If you can, please help Marlo. This fluke accident could happen to anyone. He has fought so hard to get this far and he just needs a little more time. I think we all agree that if this was our dog and they were doing all they could do to fight to come home, we would do anything humanly possible to get them there.
