Most of you are aware that our friend, Marleen Anzures, suffered a stroke on June 18th. She has lost her ability to move her right side and most of her speach. After spending more than a week in the hospital, she was transferred to rehab and will remain there for at least three weeks. After, there will be homecare. It will take a lot of money, time, and hard work, but all of you who know and love Marleen know she is not afraid of hard work!
Her CNM family has been donating personal leave in order to continue her healthcare insurance which is critical for her. If you are able, you can donate 16 hours every fiscal year. This means you can donate 16 hours before July 1st and another 16 hours after July 1st.
As you may guess, hospital and rehab stays combined with homecare are expensive. Many of her friends outside CNM, including her amazing Home Depot Family, have asked about a Gofundme account. Please consider donating to help Marleen and her family continue care for her.
Marleen has a full schedule at Healthsouth Rehab. She has Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy. She is working hard, and yesterday, June, 27th, she began walking with assistance. She walked about twelve feet, and it was a great effort and accomplishment. She is regaining her ability to speak more each day, too.
