Fight with Mark Perkins 2018

Donation protected
I’m here fund raising money for my father Mark Perkins. My dad is the strongest and most fearless person I know. He has been battling Brain Cancer for 7 years now, as of February 2,2018 he went under for his Third open Brian surgery to remove another tumour. Our Neurosurgeon Doctor Matt Wheatley in Edmonton Alberta has been fantastic with our family. He got what he went in for on the second. After surgery my dads left side had a bit of deficits, after every other brain surgery he was out of the hospital and fully mobile within 3-7 days. This time it was a bit different. U OF A Hospital released him to Fort Mcmurray Ab Hospital. In that mean time my father remained in the hospital and starting physiotherapy to regain strength of his left side. February 16,2018 he had his first day pass where he got to go out with myself and his father Harvey. We went to his favourite restaurant Eat Clean then got to come home for a hour to be in his own home. On Saturday February 17,2018 we went to pick him up for another day pass, when we got there things weren’t exactly as planned.. he had taken a fall at 4am, as we got there they were taking him for a CT to make sure there was no new brain bleeds. He slept that entire day and was having a hard time responding to questions, unless they were one worded answers. The CT results came back that his lateral ventricle has enlarged producing a extra amount of fluid, and the drain to release this fluid is obstructed, because my dad isn’t able to go under for another surgery they gave him only a few weeks to live... they started him on a high dosage of steroids to reduce the swelling and prolong as much time as possible. Due to the swelling it was pushing the right side of the brain over line explaining why there was left side deficits. Since the steroids (started at level 6) he is now able to walk little distance at one time on his own. They have now dropped steroids to a level 4.
I’m asking for your help because we found our last option... We have found a Advanced Cancer Clinic In Scottsdale Arizona. They have a IV treatment that is known to work for this situation my dad is in. A man in Saskatchewan was in the same boat and went to them for this treatment and 16 years later he’s still doing good.
The clinic this is offered at is Envita medical Centre .
What they offer is a aggressive treatment threw IV, they can track if it’s working on a daily basis. As well as can trace back to what keeps reoccurring the cancer to come back.
For my dad they recommended 6-12 weeks of treatment.
This treatment is 8000 USD A WEEK.
Plus you have to stay in a Hotel and your meals (Hotels do have special rates for outpatients) .
If you personally know my dad you know that he is not willing to go without a fight. He’s not ready to stop fighting and has his heart set on doing this treatment.
My dad was a firefighter for 10+ years and worked in the smelter in our home town, Flin Flon Manitoba for 15 years. Our family then relocated to Fort Mcmurray Alberta where he then started with CNRL.
He enjoys baseball, hockey, and going to his fly out fishing camp him and his father have built. He has the kindest heart, and always helps everyone the best he can when they are in need.
From the bottom of my families heart I am reaching out for help. All proceeds will go directly to my father.
Thank you for your time reading this, for your thoughts and prayers and simply all the extra love towards our family.
