Help Mark Maggs get cancer treatment

Mark is my father, and the best dad in the universe. He is the patriarch of the Maggs family and the love of my mom's life.

Last week we got the devastating news that he has late stage cancer, a type called tongue squamous cell carcinoma. He is currently uninsured and we are fighting to get him Medicaid disability. Until the insurance can kick in (assuming the application is approved), we can't get him the treatment he needs... and we are on a very tight timeline.

Obviously, chemotherapy and radiation are astronomically expensive, but before those can even happen he needs a PET scan to determine where the cancer has spread and how bad it is. This needs to happen very soon.

We are raising funds to cover the cost of a PET scan so we can move forward with getting him the treatment he desperately needs. He is only 53, and we still have a lot of football games to watch together, a lot of golfing, and a lot of Christmas dinners before we're ready to lose him.
