Help Mark keep his daughters!

When I met Mark four years ago one the first things he told me was about his two daughters. He would refer to them as his princesses and often told me how much he wished he was able to spend time with them. Mark had left his daughters with their mother to put himself through long term treatment at Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge. He committed himself to changing his life for the better and has been developing his character and living  a life to honor and serve the Lord for the last 6.5 years. After entering Teen Challenge the time he was allowed to spend with his children became sporadic. He was often kept from seeing them, either because of distance or circumstances. 8 months ago Amaya and Aaliyah were placed in our home by CPS. They joined our home full time only 3 weeks after the birth of our son and their brother Hezekiah. The last 8 months have been challenging but we have seen them grow and prosper through the love, care, and consistency we have been doing our best to provide. CPS has chosen to strongly support us as the permanency plan for the girls. Unfortunately, another family member has petitioned the court for full custody and we find ourselves needing to prepare to fight for custody of the girls. We truly believe that living with us full time is the best interest of these two children. Daughters need their father, they need to know their value in Christ, and they need to know that someone will always be there for them no matter what. We have met with a family law lawyer and need $2500 for a retainer and likely more than that to prepare for this fight. Any amount to help provide these beautiful girls with the gift of permanency and stability would be so greatly appreciated. Mark has worked tirelessly to strengthen his relationship with his daughters and only wants the opportunity to continue to do so.
