 For more than five years, Mark has been fighting a battle that has changed every part of his life. He is living with interstitial lung disease and pulmonary fibrosis, a devastating illness that has progressively taken away his ability to do the simple things most of us take for granted.
</div>

 Now, his condition has become critical, and Mark is awaiting a lung transplant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
</div>
<div>
 If you know Mark, you know one thing for sure: he is a fighter.
</div>
<div>
 Mark has spent his entire adult life working hard and building a career at Duratherm Window, where he has been a loyal employee since graduating from college. He is the kind of person who shows up, works hard, takes care of his family, and keeps going even when life gives him every reason not to.
</div>
<div>
 For 24 years, Mark and Amanda have built a life together as true partners. Amanda has stood beside him through every appointment, setback, difficult day, and moment of uncertainty. She works as the administrative assistant at Readfield Elementary School, and just like Mark, she has spent her life caring for and supporting others.
</div>
<div>
 And then there are his boys, Tyler, 22, and Grady, 17, who are Mark’s entire world.
</div>
<div>
 One of Mark’s greatest loves is baseball, but even more than watching the game himself, he loves watching his boys play. He has spent countless hours at fields and ballparks, cheering them on through local sports and travel ball, celebrating their victories and supporting them through the tough games.
</div>
<div>
 Mark has also spent countless hours giving back to the community he loves, coaching area youth in both basketball and baseball. Helping kids learn, grow, compete, and have fun has been another way Mark has always shown up for others.
</div>
<div>
 Being a dad, a coach, and someone his community can count on isn’t simply something Mark does. It is who he is.
</div>
<div>
 And that is why this fight matters so much.
</div>
<div>
 Mark wants more time. He wants to watch Grady continue growing into the young man he is becoming. He wants to see Tyler continue building his life. He wants to sit in the stands again, watch games, tell stories, make jokes from the sidelines, and share more laughs with Amanda.
</div>
<div>
 He wants more holidays. More birthdays. More ballgames. More ordinary days.
</div>
<div>
 Because when you are fighting for your life, you realize that the ordinary days were never ordinary at all.
</div>
<div>
 And through all of this, Mark has never lost his sense of humor. It is one of the things everyone who loves him will tell you makes him so special. Even in the middle of something this frightening, he still finds a way to make people laugh. That humor is part of his strength. It is part of what makes him Mark.
</div>

 Now, Mark and his family need help carrying the enormous financial weight that comes with this fight. The transplant journey will bring significant expenses, not only medical bills, but also hotel stays, gas, tolls, parking, food, lost income, and countless other costs that come with being away from home in Boston.
