Help Marissa with Her Fight against Breast Cancer

My name is Elisa Sedacca-Sacco and our family received devastating news that no parent ever wants to hear. Our precious daughter Marissa at 25 years old has breast cancer. There are absolutely no words to express how I am feeling right now. I keep asking myself, is this real or a bad dream? It’s real alright. Moving forward, we all must be strong and as positive as we can for her.
Marissa graduated college in May of 2019 and was planning her wedding with her fiancé Anthony in June of 2020. She was also working towards her lifelong dream of starting her own non-profit organization training service dogs for those who have been impacted with a disability such as, diabetes or mobility impairments. Her life was just beginning and now has been turned upside down from cancer, and now will have to be put on hold while she goes through all her treatments. The results from her test haven’t been what we were hoping for. She has a fast-growing and aggressive cancer which has spread to her lymph nodes with a very high chance of recurrence. She just had a mastectomy and will be going through chemo for the next five months, then radiation, and more medication to follow. We are doing everything possible to ensure Marissa has a long and healthy life. It’s not going to be easy for her, but she knows we are in this fight together. Unfortunately, Marissa will be unable to work and will need help with all the extra costs from all the medical expenses that come along with having cancer.
My daughter Marissa is a kind-hearted, beautiful young lady with a bright future and is loved by all who knows her. I am hoping this Go-fund ME will lighten her financial burden and allow her to focus on her healing instead of worrying about all the extra expenses she will be incurring from this horrible disease, including all the medical treatments that aren’t covered by insurance.
