Service Dog for Marine and Firefighter Patrick
Hello, I am Patrick Murphy, a dedicated U.S. Marine combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan and a committed civilian firefighter/EMT. I devoted over 20 years protecting our country and community. My extensive service in Special Operations came with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic stress (PTS). These invisible wounds over the past several years have impacted my personal, professional and daily life, making some tasks and situations a challenge.
While at Warriors Heart working and training with K9 service dogs and trainers I've developed a tight bond with one of the dogs. My counselors and community have recommended a full time service dog to help manage my symptoms and improve my quality of life. Enter Lettie, a specially trained service dog who can provide the support, companionship, and stability I need. Lettie will assist me in navigating day-to-day activities, offering comfort during anxiety episodes, and providing a sense of security and independence.
However, the cost of training and caring for a service dog is substantial. We are reaching out to friends, family, and the broader community to help raise $5,225 for Lettie’s training, medical care, and ongoing support.
Your donation will make a significant impact on mine and Letties life, helping me reclaim purpose, independence and continue my journey of healing. Thank you for your generosity and support.
