Support Maricella's Family After Devastating Fire

My name is Michelle Diaz, and I am raising funds for my friend Maricella Lopez. On January 7, 2025, Maricella and her family faced an unimaginable nightmare when the Palisades Fire destroyed their home, a place they had lived in for the past 21 years. In a matter of hours, they lost everything they had built and cherished. With only moments to spare, they managed to grab a few clothes and valuables before their home was burned to ash.

While the outpouring of donations, including clothes and meals, has been a lifeline during this difficult time, the journey ahead is far from easy. For now, they are staying with me and other friends in Carson, where I am from.

Maricella and her family never imagined they would be in a position to ask for help, but the reality is they are now facing something that they cannot do alone. The cost of rent, the difficulty of finding a new home in such a challenging market, and the emotional toll of starting over is overwhelming. While they first hesitated to reach out, it’s clear that in this moment they need the help of their community to rebuild and move forward.
