Help with Maribelles medical and funeral expenses

It is with a heavy heart that I make this update. Maribelle passed away yesterday morning at 2am. Mimi is devastated and so am I. There will be a viewing for Maribelle this Monday at 9am and a mass at 10am. It will be at St. Sharbel Church 43888 Hayes Rd, Clinton Twp, MI 48038. Flowers, etc. can be sent directly to the church. My dear friend Mimi's baby, Maribelle, is in the hospital. Maribelle was born at the end of December. She has been having medical complications ever since then. Mimi knew she was going to have a heart issue but was not expecting all of the other complications that have arose. Maribelle has suffered brain damage after having lost consciousness for over five minutes. She has been revitalized back from death twice now. She is on a machine to help her with her heart and lungs. She will be getting taken off it on Monday due to the machine's long-term side effects. She will not be able to be put back on this machine. Her medical team at University of Michigan does not know what is wrong with her exactly. They have only seen hearts like hers in elderly people. Maribelle is a fighter just like her mom. She is fighting to survive against all odds. My friend, Mimi, wanted more than ANYTHING to be a mother. She endured IVF treatments for the last year to have this baby. She has not left her side since she was born. The medical team is saying to expect the worst at this point and is not sure if there is anything else they can do. Mimi had a birth which was brief and didn't show any signs of what was to come. She did everything right. She took her prenatal vitamins, ate healthy, went to the doctor every week, took hormones, and did everything her medical team instructed so she could have a healthy baby. Sometimes beautiful people do the right thing and life decides to do what it wants anyways. I'm asking all of you to please pray for Maribelle and Mimi during this devastating time. These medical issues have led to unexpected expenses. Mimi would pay anything just to have her baby be healthy. The medical procedures, tests, and instruments that are vital and necessary have not been covered completely by insurance. This is unfortunately the case for many in this country. Gofundme's number one purpose has been to help fill this gap. Mimi has been working full-time since even before 18. She is a strong woman who would be the last person to ever ask for financial help. But no one can control health issues and how much they will cost. So far medical bills are totally about $12,000. This could increase depending on what is needed to keep Maribelle alive.
