Support Mariam and Sunshine Cafe
 
 
 Mariam has owned Sunshine Cafe in Astoria for 6 years, and over that time, the cafe has become more than just a small business. It is a place where people feel welcome, cared for, and at home. Mariam is known for being sweet and kind, and for the way she looks out for others, often giving extra food to people when she can. Right now, Sunshine Cafe is struggling to stay afloat because foot traffic has dropped and marketing has not been strong enough to bring in the steady business the cafe needs. 
 
 
 This fundraiser is to help Mariam keep Sunshine Cafe alive for the community. The support will go toward catching up on overdue bills and replacing old tables and other worn essentials that the cafe needs to keep serving customers comfortably. Shuayb is asking for help for someone who has given so much warmth to others and deserves that same kindness in return.
