Maria's funeral, transport and hospital expenses

She passed away 8/18/21 in Houston Texas . 

Hello my name is Ariel Posueloz, I am raising money for my dear friend Maria Santos Peterson . She is devoted wife, amazing mother and daughter along with being a great friend to many . She is also an icu nurse that has been working in the front lines and also working in medical mission trips during the pandemic in Central America. 

She is currently hospitalized with Covid on a ventilator and is currently trached in El Salvador.  

This is a very hard time for her family and friends. She is in a different country all alone in the icu fighting for her life, In still a very fluid fast changing situation. We are raising money for her to be air-transported to the United States once she is stabilized, for her hospital bills in El Salvador to help be covered,  for future hospital stays, and rehabilitation etc when she comes back home. 

Maria Has been a nurse for close to a decade . She began her career for the sole purpose of helping people because at one such time she was the one that needed the help of a nurse. When she was 4 years old she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome : A condition in which the immune system attacks the nerves.

 

It was a very serious illness that at such a young age landed her in the hospital with a ventilator . She battled and she was able to move on from that difficult period in her early childhood. Because of this illness she was not able to receive the Covid vaccine. Regardless she still placed her self in a position to care for as many people as she could . Whether it be here in Los Angeles as an icu nurse or her medical mission trips to Central America such as Guatemala.   

This cause means so much for many people because Maria is selfless person that always has the best interests of her patients, friends, family and community. She currently also supports many people from her family who live in the Philippines 

She has helped so many people and right now she and her family needs as much help as possible .
