Help Maree as she battles Cancer

Dear friends, my name is Peter.

I have been a long time friend of Maree, and also her singing partner in our band Musaic.

We come together today to rally behind a dear friend who is facing one of life's toughest battles – cancer. Maree has already had major emergency surgery to complete a full hysterectomy and remove multiple tumours. Lying ahead is a long battle of treatments to tackle the remaining rare stage 4 cancer. Maree and her family are courageously fighting this relentless foe. The situation is compounded by the daily care requirements of her special needs daughter who is struggling to come to terms with the major changes happening around her.

As a community, I am hoping we can offer our unwavering support during the challenges they are now facing.

As we all know, Cancer not only takes a toll on one's health but also brings financial burdens that can sometimes be overwhelming. As the main breadwinner, Maree’s inability to work means that medical bills, along with daily expenses and the costs of essential needs like food will quickly escalate. One goal is a collective effort to fundraise money, with the aim to ease some of these financial strains. This will allow Maree to focus on what truly matters – her recovery.
