My name is Keisha Philgence, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible mother pictured, Deania Marcia Joseph, a strong and loving woman who has dedicated her life to caring for others , including her own mother and me.

Today, I’m asking for your help to give her a chance at healing. My mom is facing a serious medical battle. She urgently needs to travel to Martinique for a proctocolectomy due to a rectal mass, which carries a risk of becoming malignant if not treated promptly or is delayed. This surgery is critical and without it, her condition will continue to worsen, and her pain will become unbearable. Despite everything, she has remained strong and resilient. She’s a former preschool teacher and an entrepreneur in the community of Morne Jacques, Choiseul (St. Lucia), and even while unwell, she continues to care full-time for my elderly grandmother. Unfortunately, her condition now prevents her from working. I’ve been doing my best to support her financially and emotionally, but the cost of this surgery plus travel and accommodation in Martinique is far more than we can manage on our own.
