Help Marcela Get Stable Housing After Prison

My name is Marcela Delvalle and I got out of prison with nothing 3 months ago after doing 8 years in Ohio. I moved to Grand Rapids, MI to get a fresh start.
Last week I unexpectedly lost my housing and have been staying in co-workers rooms and hotel rooms since. Due to my felony record from 8 years ago, the current housing/renting/eviction crisis, and no savings from the 8 years I was in prison, it has been extremely difficult to find anything.
I've been working with my work's resource team to find housing for rent in the area and there are a few options that will work but I need funds to cover moving costs, basic furnishings like a bed, kitchenware, and toiletries, and the security deposit & first few months rent to get back on my feet. I also need funding to get temporary housing in-between now and a move-in date for a permanent place.
I am incredibly grateful to have a stable job and a supportive community that has helped me in these first few months after release. And with a stable place to call home, I will be able to have a solid foundation to continue to build my new life from.
