<div>We reached the first goal of raising $50,000 for Maram! I have made the new goal $80,000 as she and her family are still very much in need of support.

<div>Hello, my name is Andrea Groves from the US (in the midst of moving from Ohio to California) and I am managing this fundraiser to help support my friend Maram Asigale her father, brothers, and sister. They have been dealing with an increasingly impossible situation in Gaza and need our help to purchase necessities like food, medicine, and shelter, and we hope that enough additional funds can be saved to help them escape the country.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for considering making donations to Maram. Every little amount counts, but please donate as much as you are able. I will send every bit of the money you donate directly to Maram from my account via wire transfer, minus the necessary GoFundMe fees.

<div>Hello, beautiful people in the world. Friend, in the past, I dreamt like you. Like you, I lived a life full of love and followed my dreams, but now my heart is filled with sadness. Let me tell you my story. My name is Maram from Palestine, from the resilient Gaza Strip. At the age of 26, I experienced many wars.

<div>My mother died of cancer when I was three years old, and I then spent my entire life with my father, his wife, and his five children.

<div>My family and I live in the city of Khan Younis, but on December 3, 2023, we experienced a life of displacement and dispersion from home. We left home with sadness and pain, the enemy destroyed everything in our city, the landmarks became unknown, and everything disappeared. We experienced six months of displacement, full of pain and suffering. Then, despite being destroyed, we still returned and tried to live regardless of everything. Now we live in the most difficult and harsh conditions, without clean water, without life, everything has become strange, my friends.

<div>Before this war, I followed my dream, studied basic education in university, and then graduated, working hard to realize my dream and self, helping my family because no one helped them. I worked in a company and helped them, but after the war destroyed my future, dreams, and everything on October 7th, we had nothing left. Before the war, I tried to find a specialized job in my homeland, but I did not receive it. I sought scholarships in the UAE until I pursued a specialized master's degree, but unfortunately, the war broke out and destroyed everything.

<div>I hope you support me as much as possible so that I can help my family and get out of here, out of the place that oppressed me and my dreams. Help us so that I can protect myself and my family and be able to start from scratch in a better country. Please remember that any and every dollar that you can donate will help us.
