Help DEXCOM for My T1 Diabetes 2018

Megan was diagnosed Sept 24, 2011 with Type 1 Diabeties at the age 12.
She has persevered throughout her illness with strength and courage.
She is insulin dependent for life.
This is not a curable disease.
Now at the age of 19 and in college for her last year of massage therapy she is working a part time job, dancing , and daily life.
Her 2018 goal is to live a healthy life with her condition.  In order to achieve this...  She is using a DEXCOM - it is a constant blood monitering device which she wears 24/7
ONE YEAR SUPPLY is $3108.00 - $5148 out of pocket , not covered by insurance or alberta health care.
$340 - sensor 4 pack (7 days use per sensor)
$389 - Transmitter ( 112 days use per transmitter)
$499 - Reciever
By being able to afford this treatment it has changed Megans life in the following ways.
*Alerts her when not in target
*Alerts her if dropping into a low blood sugar - to treat as to not go into diabetic coma and possible death
day and night
*Alert her during activies like driving, working and then she can treat her highs and lows accordingly to stay in her goal blood sugar range

the better on target she is the healthier and better feeling she can be each day of her life.

With her active lifestyle - she is not afraid to be alone anymore, been able to take more control of her days and nights
