Help Maldivian Sea Turtles with Vet Equipment

The Atoll Marine Centre was founded in 2012 as a response to many hatchlings being kept as pets on local islands. Due to outreach performed by our centre this is now much less common.

Our focus since then has shifted from rehabilitating turtle hatchlings to rescuing and rehabilitating adult turtles found stranded or caught in ghost nets.

A crucial tool in order to treat those animals is an X-Ray machine that our centre desperatly needs.

Please help us treat the sea turtles by improving our medical care with this equipment.

L'Atoll Marine Centre a été fondé en 2012 suite à la nécessité de réhabiliter un grand nombre de tortues marines nouveau-nés gardés illégalement comme animaux de compagnie. Ce programme à été un grand succès car il à permis de diminuer drastiquement le braconnage pour le commerce illégal. Le centre s'est alors concentré sur les soins de tortues blessées (par collision avec des bateaux, prises dans des filets fantômes etc). Un des équipements essentiels à cette prise en charge est un appareil à rayons X
