Help Malcolm's Family Recover from Hurricane Beryl
Donation protected
My name is Marion. I am from France. I have lived in the US since August 2009 and in Florida since November 2019. I am creating this fundraiser for my friend Malcolm and his family in Jamaica. Malcolm runs a little store out of his house. Like most in the area, tourism is his biggest revenue. It is now off season which is hard every year. This year, without rebuilding, they will have no business. He is my most special friend there. He took me on his boat when I first visited Treasure Beach. We had long enriching conversations. He told me about the wild life. When the ocean was rough, he made me feel safe. He loves riding the waves. He showed me around and made sure I was always taken care of. When I went the second time, he came to pick me up from the airport. He is a very kind, generous and intelligent man. He recently lost his father to illness and his brother to cancer a few months ago. I know that when I go back, he will be there for me.
Him and his family have been badly hit by Hurricane Beryl. Their roofs have been blown away, windows broken, their beds, mattresses, and sales inventory destroyed. More rain is expected and back to school is around the corner. They need to refill in products to sell and fix their homes. This is how every dollar you send will be spent. It will help his daughters get a new roof, windows, beds and furniture. It will give them a chance to rebuild a safe environment in their homes. It will help them send their children back to school with food in their bellies. It will allow their business to restart. It will just bring their lives back. Please, if you can help, help.
