Help make our trees safe

Hi everyone we are Loxley Valley Community Farm (LVCF), a community project based in Loxley Sheffield farming 4 acres of land growing fruit & veg and raising pigs, poultry and bees.

Our project to grow our own food and raise livestock has been running for 12 years.

We can't wait to open our doors covid permitting and welcome back the community feel within the farm.

Currently we have an Ash tree that needs removing due to Ash dieback a fungus which kills Ash trees in huge numbers across the UK. It's located right behind a bus stop so we can't just leave it and we can't simply fell it either, but we need to make it safe, in order to do this we will need specialist help to bring it down in pieces.

We try and be as inclusive as we can for all in the community to join our farm, this means low membership fees.

With the nature of this project we simply don't have the funds to undertake specialist tasks like this.
