Help Makayla Travel to Ghana for Study Abroad

Hi All!

I am thrilled to share that I will soon embark on a journey to Accra, Ghana where I will enroll in HESP458, a transformative course designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for international service. This course, integral to my studies as an aspiring Hearing and Speech Sciences major with a minor in Neuroscience, offers a unique global perspective within the field of communication sciences and disorders. During my time in Ghana, I will have the privilege to observe and collaborate with Speech-Language Therapists, as well as other healthcare professionals. This experience will deepen my understanding of speech disorders and allow me to actively engage in educational workshops and community outreach activities.

My profound interest in the realm of research has always driven me, and this program provides a chance to immerse myself in a research-oriented environment, all while fulfilling a long-held desire to explore a country I've always yearned to visit.
