My name is MaKayla Cook. For the last 17 years, I have struggled with many mental health conditions, including PTSD. Recently, I have been diagnosed with functional neurological disorder, meaning my central nervous system does not work properly. This disorder is causing me to have seizures, body tremors, fatigue, and so much more. Due to the effects that these disorders are having on my body, I am in need of a service dog to help me with the small and big things in life. Fortunately, my dog Ruby passed the entry level examination to become my service dog. But the training can be costly.
