<div>Mahmoud and his family of 14 live in extremely difficult conditions in South Gaza. They have no income, and the soaring prices of food, water, and medicine make survival a daily struggle. They are completely reliant on the kindness of strangers to meet their basic needs.

<div>We are <em>Friends to Mahmoud</em>, an online support group from across the world who came together to support Mahmoud’s family after hearing his story. We organize this campaign to make sure his family can get through each month with food, clean water, medicine, clothing, and other essentials.

<div><strong>Who is Mahmoud?</strong>
</div>
<div>Mahmoud is a 22-year-old dentistry student who was working hard toward his future before the war. His father was killed in a bombardment, and his home — inherited from his grandparents — was destroyed. Now, he cares for his younger nieces and nephews alongside his mother and siblings, in an environment where safety and stability are never guaranteed. Hunger is a reality they face every single day.

<div><strong>What is needed right now</strong>
</div>
<div>The family urgently needs <strong>€3,500 each month</strong> to cover the basics — food, clean water, medicine, clothing, and other essentials. Every single cent makes a difference.

<div>The reality is that getting funds into Gaza is complicated and costly. Because of the war and strict restrictions, money can only be accessed through limited and informal channels, which take a large portion in commissions before the family can use it.
</div>

<div>Once the money is in hand, daily life is still incredibly expensive. The blockade and destruction have caused severe shortages of food, medicine, and clean water. Every item that enters Gaza has to pass through multiple checkpoints, and with supply so limited, prices are often several times higher than normal. Even the most basic goods — bread, cooking oil, rice, and simple medicines — have become luxury items.

<div>We as friends have joined forces to help our dear friend Mahmoud and his family of 14, one of the many innocent victims of the war in Gaza. We hope that you will read their story and help us ease their suffering.

<div>The Nashwan family lives in miserable conditions in a refugee camp in South Gaza, where they have no direct access to electricity, water and sanitation. They sleep on a mat on the ground of their tent, as a family of 14, with 5 children.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, they no longer have a source of income. What they now mainly need are RESOURCES to provide for their PRIMARY NEEDS: food, clothing, clean water, medicine, household items, diapers, etc.
</div>
<div>We are in almost daily contact with Mahmoud, one of the sons of the Nashwan family. An endearing young man of 21 years old, who worked hard on his future before the war. He studies dentistry at the University, but now sees his future and dreams fall apart. He has shared his personal cry for help with us. He makes a direct appeal to all of us not to forget him and his family. By DONATING you help to EASE THE SUFFERING of this family.

<div>We have lived our whole lives in Beit Hanoun, the North of Gaza.
</div>
<div>Because of the war we have been forced to leave our home behind. Our house was destroyed and with it all our hopes and dreams.

<div>This house was an inheritance from my grandparents and loosing it hurts us very much.
</div>
<div>I want to ask you to help my family in these difficult times. We have no idea what the future will look like. We have nothing left. We live in southern Gaza, but we are not safe here either. Help us to get through the war in the coming period. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you.’
