<div>Last August, our dear friend Mahigel underwent surgery on his right hip. Now, at just 36 years old, he faces another major operation—a total hip replacement on his left side.

<div>After the procedure, Mahigel will need an extended period of physical therapy and recovery, leaving him unable to work. To make matters harder, in Bolivia the ongoing issues with the dollar have caused the cost of the prosthesis to double. What was already a heavy burden has now become even more difficult.

<div>Despite all the health challenges he’s faced, Mahigel continues to show incredible resilience and a positive spirit. He inspires us with his determination, but he can’t do this alone.

<div>El pasado agosto, nuestro querido amigo Mahigel se sometió a una cirugía en su cadera derecha. Ahora, con tan solo 36 años, enfrenta otra operación importante: una prótesis de cadera total en su pierna izquierda.

<div>Después del procedimiento, Mahigel necesitará un período prolongado de fisioterapia y recuperación, lo que lo dejará sin poder trabajar. Para complicar aún más la situación, en Bolivia los problemas actuales con el dólar han hecho que el costo de la prótesis se haya duplicado. Lo que ya era una carga pesada se ha vuelto todavía más difícil.
