<div>Hi, I am Madleen, a Palestinian from Gaza. I'm reaching out to you, seeking your help for me and my family from the horrors of the relentless war that has been ongoing in Gaza for 6 months now. I would like to tell you a bit about my small family.

<div>I am Madleen, a Palestinian mother of two: Mohammed and Intisar, and a wife and daughter. Until last October, I led a regular and stable life in the lively Al-Remal neighborhood alongside my husband, children, immediate family, and in-laws.

<div>After the 7th of October, my whole life came upside down due to the war on Gaza. The night of 13 October, my neighborhood where we used to live in Gaza – the neighborhood where my kids grew up, where we started our family – was bombed entirely.

<div>We fled to the so-called “safe area” in the south of Gaza. After being displaced several times, moving from one place to another, and searching for a safe area for my kids. 

</div>

<div>On 23 October, we found ourselves under the rubble. I was rescued together with my kids from under the rubble, stone, and shattered glass that belonged to the house right next to us, which was bombed. That night, my kids and I witnessed the unimaginable things that a human mind cannot comprehend in terms of martyrs, blood, and dead bodies.

<div>Our beloved 3-year-old daughter, Intisar, learned to speak amidst the war. Sadly, her first words were related to the war :(.

<div>Having narrowly escaped imminent death with my kids, I came to the stark realization that there is no sanctuary in the Gaza Strip. Enduring displacement multiple times, I experienced the harsh reality of lacking essentials like water, food, and medicine, unable to even perform basic activities such as showering, eating, or having access to clean water. The confinement of staying indoors was compounded by the constant fear instilled in my children due to the ominous sounds of warplanes and falling bombs. Faced with these challenges, I resolved to ensure the safety of my children, no matter how formidable the task.

<div><span>We've lost everything – our home, our jobs, our dreams. My greatest worry is for Mohammed and Intisar, their future uncertain. Where will they live, study, and grow up? Gaza offers little hope now, as life's essentials are destroyed. My children's future appears bleak, overshadowed by uncertainty. My husband and I once dreamed of a simple, peaceful life, a bright future for our children. We yearned for Mohammed and Intisar to thrive, like children everywhere. They deserve a childhood free from fear, a future filled with possibilities. Every child has the right to safety, to basic necessities like food, clean water, clothing, and education. Let's ensure Mohammed and Intisar have these essentials for a chance at a normal life.<br /></span>

<div>بعد السابع من أكتوبر، انقلبت حياتي رأسًا على عقب بسبب الحرب على غزة. في ليلة 13 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول، تم قصف الحي الذي كنا نعيش فيه في غزة - الحي الذي نشأ فيه أطفالي، والذي بدأنا فيه عائلتنا - بالكامل.

<div>هربنا إلى ما يسمى "المنطقة الآمنة" في جنوب غزة. بعد النزوح عدة مرات والانتقال من مكان إلى آخر والبحث عن منطقة آمنة لأطفالي، وجدنا أنفسنا في 23 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر تحت الأنقاض. لقد تم إنقاذي أنا وأطفالي من تحت الركام والحجر والزجاج المهشم التابع للمنزل المجاور لنا والذي تعرض للقصف. في تلك الليلة، شهدت أنا وأولادي أشياء لا يمكن تصورها ولا يمكن لعقل بشري أن يستوعبها من شهداء ودماء وجثث.

<div>ابنتنا الحبيبة انتصار، ابنتنا الحبيبة البالغة من العمر 3 سنوات، تعلمت التحدث وسط الحرب. للأسف، كلماتها الأولى كانت مرتبطة بالحرب :(.

<div>بعد أن نجوت بأعجوبة من الموت الوشيك مع أطفالي، أدركت بشكل صارخ أنه لا يوجد ملاذ آمن في قطاع غزة. ومع استمرار النزوح عدة مرات، واجهت الواقع القاسي المتمثل في الافتقار إلى الأساسيات مثل الماء والغذاء والدواء، وعدم القدرة حتى على القيام بالأنشطة الأساسية مثل الاستحمام أو تناول الطعام أو الحصول على المياه النظيفة. وقد تفاقم الحجر المنزلي بسبب الخوف المستمر الذي غرس في أطفالي بسبب أصوات الطائرات الحربية والقنابل المتساقطة. وفي مواجهة هذه التحديات، عقدت العزم على ضمان سلامة أطفالي، بغض النظر عن مدى صعوبة المهمة.
