<div>My name is Madison Henderson, and I’m a daughter, sister, and friend who never imagined I’d be fighting for my life at this age.

<div>In April 2024, I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive bone cancer called chondroblastic osteosarcoma in the right side of my pelvis. I immediately began chemotherapy and underwent a major surgery on July 30, 2024, where doctors removed the tumor along with the entire right half of my pelvis. After months of chemo, I finished treatment in January 2025 and rang the bell in April, believing the hardest part was behind me.

<div>For a short time, I was in remission.

<div>In December 2025, we learned the cancer had returned — this time in my sacrum, an area surrounded by critical nerves and blood vessels. Because of its location, doctors have told me surgery is not possible. Surgery is normally the main treatment for osteosarcoma, which means my options here in the U.S. are extremely limited.

<div>There is, however, a treatment center in Germany offering dendritic cell therapy, an immunotherapy approach that has shown promise in slowing the growth of sarcoma tumors. <strong>This treatment could give me more time and a real fighting chance</strong>, but it is not covered by insurance, and neither is the travel required to receive it. After this therapy, I will also need radiation treatment back in the United States.
