<div>On October 25th, 2025, my daughter and I were involved in a hit-and-run car accident while on our way to enjoy Halloween festivities at the Kelley Farm. What was supposed to be a fun day together turned into something scary and life-changing in an instant.

<div>Since the accident, I’ve been struggling with ongoing pain and concussion symptoms that make it difficult to work. I’ve spent these past weeks in and out of doctors’ appointments, trying to heal while also being the full-time caregiver to my little one. Because I am self-employed, I do not have paid time off or any kind of automatic disability support. Lost income is not easily or quickly recovered, and right now, it’s unclear when I’ll be able to return to work consistently, let alone full time.

<div>I am a single mom, and I am the only source of income in our home. This has been incredibly overwhelming, and asking for help does not come easy for me. I’m doing everything I can to make sure my daughter and I are okay while I focus on healing.
