When we struggle, we often ask charities or our church for help since they know about our situation, but they can only help so much, and we are often still in need of help.

Although most of my siblings are healthy, my older brother and I are not. My brother struggles with ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, anger issues, and many other mental disabilities. He was diagnosed with a "fatty" liver about 2 months ago. Just today, he woke up throwing up blood and with severe stomach pain. Once taken to the hospital, we found he has stones in his appendix and will need surgery tomorrow. <strong>I am not sure how much will be covered by the insurance he has and how much won't, and we are all worried because we do not know what to expect or what to do.</strong>

<div>I was also recently diagnosed in October with Lymphoma. It's like my entire life was turned upside down. I've been in and out of the hospital since September and just last Monday completed my third chemo. I have felt both the physical and mental pain that one suffers when going through such harsh treatments and changes in their life. I celebrated my 17th birthday in my bed, feeling horrible. I haven't been to school in over a month, stopped playing for my school's volleyball team, and haven't lived a normal teenager's life since. Medicaid, thankfully, has covered most of the hospital's bills, but it does not cover the costs of some of the medication, meals, transportation, and any other things we may have needed to pay out of pocket.
