Help Maddy Pay the STuPid gobvernment

So, in 2014, Maddy's estranged father, who she hasn't had a relationship with for about 8 years, took out some stocks he had put in her name for savings when she got older. He kept the money for himself. But the taxes were still in her name. He was threatened with legal action and paid the federal taxes, but didn't pay the state taxes, which Maddy didn't realize at the time.

Zoom forward to 2019 and her taxes were audited. So she was hit by a surprise charge for $1400 that she had no idea about on money she never had. Because no legal action actually took place, the state is unconvinced that it is not her money, since there's no official documentation to prove otherwise. Further legal action against her father would be difficult and too expensive. She can't really afford this right now, with student loan debt and working a minimum wage job, so she has to set up a payment plan, or potentially even get money taken from her bank account, increasing her debt even further and making it hard to even afford things like rent and groceries. So I'm making this to help her pay. It would mean a lot to me and to her if you could help under these really frustrating circumstances.
