My name is Maddox. I arrived at the kill pen last week from Billings, MT. I am super sweet, but unfortunately, I got very sick here waiting for my new family to bail me out. I was lucky enough to have humans pick me up and take me to the hospital to get treatment to help me breathe, as I have a severe case of pneumonia. It has been such a struggle to breathe that I had to stop eating my food, and today, I could no longer exert any energy to move even a few steps to get myself to water in my pen.

I tell you all of this as I need lots of help! This is going to be costly with vetting, the cost of my bail, my quarantine time required to allow me to be around other horses again, etc.

I don’t know what I did to deserve this, but I promise to be the very best version of myself once I get better, if you just give me a chance. I thank you for your help and prayers for my road to recovery, as I need all I can get!
