Help M4Reactor Help Others Survive COVID-19

During this crazy time of social distancing, isolation and facing the fears of COVID-19, our local Makerspace, M4Reactor is facing a potential shuttering of operations.  We were weeks away from opening our doors to the public when the Coronavirus hit and now without the ability to finish the build-out and no income stream, surviving this will require the support of our community.

Our rent and utilities are about $2000 per month.  We are 1 month past due right now and don't expect to have any income until this crisis is over.  Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated!  #SmallBusinessRelief 

What have we been doing since the shutdown?  We've been manufacturing acrylic intubation boxes for local hospitals to protect our health care providers as well as acrylic shields to protect workers when taking samples and swabs.  We are also just going into production on face shields and "ear savers" which are devices to minimize the stress of wearing face masks all day.   More info on this effort on our website: https://m4reactor.org/helping-the-community/ 

DEDUCT YOUR DONATION!  Did you know that even if you use the standard deduction on taxes, that the CARES act now allows for a $300 deduction ($600 for married couples) in addition to the standard deduction?  So your donation IS tax deductible even if you use the standard deduction on your taxes (assuming you donate less than $600/couple or $300/individual).  If you itemize, you can claim up to 100% of your AGI for donations (up from 60%).  And Corporations may deduct up to 25% of taxable income (up from 10%).
